Round Table on Gold & Silver

Gold and Silver! Out of all commodities created, explored, unearthed, pursued, exchanged and distributed across the face of the earth, only gold and silver have always been and are currently considered "money" by all peoples at all times everywhere! Why? And why is there such prominent mention of these precious metals in Scripture during significant rites of passage, generational wealth-building exhortations, and other teachings? 

Are physical gold and silver important to our financial future as a body of people who are passionately engaging God and the matters of His Kingdom? If so, what should our perspective and actions be regarding the metals themselves and the spiritual realities, entities, and realms they represent?
